Parents plan a single stroller-friendly day around Gyeongju's name, then hit stone temple stairs with no warning.
Hwangridan-gil, Daereungwon, Cheomseongdae, and Donggung Palace are flat and paved — the stroller can stay open the whole stretch.
Buses 10 and 11 are not low-floor, so every boarding means folding the stroller while holding the toddler — twice, there and back.
The final approach to the grotto is stone stairs only — no ramp, no rentals on site. Plan to carry the toddler for that stretch.
Travelers who spend most of the trip downtown and treat Bulguksa and Seokguram as a planned carrying day feel the least friction.
If Seokguram is non-negotiable and you have no baby carrier as backup, the stair section becomes the hardest part of the trip by far.
Gyeongju is a strong stroller trip if you split the day: open stroller for the historic core, baby carrier for Bulguksa and Seokguram.
