The famous ones are not the accessible ones. Here is what actually holds up.

Marketing photos and old trip reports do not reflect what's true right now.

Gellert is closed. Until 2028.

It shut October 2025 for a multi-year renovation. Any plan built around it needs to be rebuilt entirely.

Szechenyi's lifts? Currently unreliable.

Staff cannot manually lift guests into the pools. Great for changing. Not guaranteed for entering water.

Rudas: no lifts, no ramps, no accessible changing rooms.

Historic and central is not the same as workable. Skip it if a mobility limit is non-negotiable.

Noise is a timing problem, not a bath problem.
